This exercise was found in a post on Accidental Creative that listed 10 questions that could help you find your voice. We thought one of the questions, found below, would be a great exercise to get us thinking, and possibly even generate some interesting prompts. The question, taken from the article, is this: "What would blow your mind? Make a list of 40 things that would blow your mind if they happened. You’ll get to about 15 before you find it difficult. Keep going. List out every thing that would thrill you if it were to happen, including relational things, business things, travel, ambitions, hopes, etc. My wife and I have done this a few times, stretching each time we do. To date, many of the things on our list have actually happened. Some never will. But it’s a great way to identify patterns in your motivation."
So, in our meeting last week, we each made a list of 20 to start. We then chose one of the items from our list to use as a writing prompt. Our homework for next week is to bring our lists to 40 things that would BLOW OUR FREAKING MINDS. Check out our results below, and contact us if you have any ideas you'd like to share on the blog.
